Because meerschaum is a softer material than briar, it lends itself well to being carved more intricately. That said, such ostentation isn't for everyone, and thankfully, the IMP workshop also fashions staple shapes like this bent Billiard. Still carved from meerschaum, this pipe will darken handsomely as it's smoked, and is dressed in a rugged rustication that calls to mind the type of finish common on briar pipes. The shank flares broadly, and is rusticated as well, evoking the appearance of briar's natural plateau.
