Featuring a wrapping beadline underneath the domed rim, this Acorn from IMP possesses a lithe bend through the shank-and-stem combination that, in profile, offsets some of the bowl's robust proportions. The lightly flared shank gives way to an arcing saddle stem of acrylic, the jet-black of the stem acting as a classy complement to the clean whiteness of the stummel, with some orange veining that adds a pop of additional color. Sturdy and sizeable, this piece boasts a firm, yet elegant weight in hand, as well as a pronounced, flattened spur on its heel for some structure. The flavor-neutral smoking properties of meerschaum pipes allow for new flavors of preferred blends to be discovered, and with time and use, this piece will patinate, taking on browns, tans, and even pinks.
