IMP Meerschaum: Partially Rusticated Devil Anse with Silver (with Case) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-316-4255
Sourced from high quality, solid block meerschaum, this stylish Devil Anse from IMP is rather Horn-like in its gestural, forward cant. Named after "Devil" Anse Hatfield of the deadly Hatfield and McCoys feud in America during the 1800s that was much later the subject of a popular History Channel series, the shape is characterized by a plump bowl and the aforementioned sharp cant. Here, the Turkish workshop has made it quite alluring, with a succession of smooth beadlines descending from the chamfered rim, followed by a craggy rustication for the remainder of the stummel, offering textural and visual diversity. Further commending this deep-chambered pipe is a gleaming silver band at the shank end, which is then topped by a handsome acrylic stem of teal and black colors. The pale stummel will engender even more charm as it accrues the warm tones of patination as it's smoked over time.
