Though a touch broader and squatter of bowl, a bit stouter overall, and sporting a stronger sense of organic flourish and flare, there's more than a little of Stanwell's (Eltang designed) "191" shape in this bent Bulldog from Jared Coles. The poised and upright bowl fits magnificently in the hand, while the licks of cross-grain and birdseye about the rim offer a pleasing definition to the domed surface. Coupled with that, the gently-bent stem of azure vulcanite serves to offer a sense of outgoing refinement.
