A full-bodied bent Brandy shape from Jared Coles, this fellow seems to be slightly inspired by the Danish school's more fuller-bodied classic forms, with perhaps a subtle impression of Italian liveliness. From its thick, slightly pinched transition, a forward-gesturing bowl presents a cascade of ring-grain on all flanks, topped with a wavy, undulating rim lending the piece the lightest sense of playful asymmetry. It's finished in a warm, smoldering stain, making for a traditional number rich with organic charm. Lovely stuff.
