Jared Coles: Sandblasted Bent Dublin with Bamboo
Product Number: 002-738-0046
An interesting combination of elements from several shaping schools, this stout fellow belies its lightweight form, its undeniably manageable feel in hand the result of its pronounced bamboo shank extension. Said extension serves to call to mind the organically-inclined work of the Japanese school, its knuckles presenting a sense of rhythm that decreases in intensity as it travels toward the bowl's transition. This evocative disposition is reinforced by the undulation at the rim, offering a sense of asymmetry when viewed from the aft or fore. The bowl itself is propelled forward by the very subtle spur at the heel, and the chamber within tapers as it travels toward the draft hole.- Daniel Bumgardner
