Jared Coles: Sandblasted Bent Dublin with Juma Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-738-0105
Jared Coles began making pipes during college, quickly becoming enamored with the craft. Since then, he has honed his skills over the years, working with masters such as Jeff Gracik and Todd Johnson. Coles draws inspiration from the Japanese and Danish schools of pipe design, creating a unique aesthetic all his own. This bent Dublin is a unique example of the American artisan's work, displaying more demure proportions than we've seen in other pieces. The pert bowl rests on a softly spurred heel, with a playful forward cant at the end of an elongated round shank that bends subtly downward — à la the Hawkbill — as it joins a half-saddle stem of white Juma, an ivory substitute that contrasts perfectly with the crisp black sandblast that reveals a wealth of engaging texture around the stummel.
