Jared Coles: Sandblasted Bent Apple Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-738-0143
One of the original founders of J&J Pipes, Jared Coles eventually began a solo craftsman career following his training from some America's top pipe artisans, including Todd Johnson and Jeff Gracik. Coles' portfolio is filled with Japanese-inspired pieces, as he often models his designs after Kei-ichi Gotoh and Hiroyuki Tokutomi, including this bent Apple. Approaching Nosewarmer proportions, this organic and sweeping rendition of the shape measures barley over four and a half inches long. Its compact size and small tobacco chamber make this a great option for those seeking a travel companion and quick, on-the-go smokes. The plump bowl is traditionally-inclined as its walls rise from a lifted heel with a slight inward taper to the flat rim. An acute transition gives way to a rounded, flaring shank that expands toward a broad face from which an abbreviated saddle stem protrudes from. The ebony stem complements the dark sandblasted finish dressing the stummel, save for the smooth rim and shank face.
