In quite a shift from the two other introductory briars we received from Jody, this Bulldog is straight, direct, and brief in style: a good amount of bowl and canted bead-lines set at the end of a quick and firm shank, tipped with a streamlined sliver of a saddle stem. This overall is an interesting shift from the short, compact, and chubby pipes that have grown in popularity over recent years. This briar is short, its bowl is compact and broad, and enjoys much the same charm, but the total package here is much sharper and decisive in style; it could be personified as every bit as playful as those chubby numbers, but also tenacious to boot.
