Jody Davis: Smooth Bent Dublin (Saint) (A16) (14) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-718-0016
Easily my favorite pipe in this batch of Jody Davis briars, this petite bent Dublin is likely to catch the eye of many esteemed collectors. Something of a cross between a minimalist interpretation of the Olifant and a Danish-inspired, Japanese take on the bent Dublin, this fellow is poised and undeniably natural in hand. If that weren't enough, the grain is nothing short of immaculate, with lanes of lively flame on each flank, coupled with an underside's worth of stunning birdseye, all accentuated by a warm, red walnut stain and fitting for its "Saint" stamp. It does a pretty fine job of keeping itself upright on a flat surface, too. All in all, a wonderful briar here from Jody.
