Kai Nielsen has produced quality pipes for over 50 years, beginning in the Bari pipe factory which his father, Viggo, founded. This pocket-friendly Dublin is an excellent example of the Danish artisan's sleek angular style, featuring a tapered bowl with walls that culminate in a spurred flat heel, resting pertly at the fore of a slim round shank fitted with a tapered stem of genuine horn. This piece is further elevated by its "Jewel of Denmark" stamping, a designation reserved for only the finest Nielsen pipes. Dressed in a warm walnut stain, the stummel boasts excellent flame grain around the bowl, with swirling birdseye at the heel and rim.
