This deeply bent Acorn is a wonderfully compact piece from Kai Nielsen, known for his excellent pocket pipes, and at under five inches long, this piece fits comfortably within that designation. The pert bowl rests on a sweeping heel at the fore of a strikingly arced shank fitted with a hand-cut, bent acrylic saddle stem. This pipe represents Nielsen's second highest Jewel of Denmark grade, stamped "B" to denote its position among the very finest examples of his work. Dressed in a rich auburn stain, the stummel boasts fine straight and flame grain around the bowl, with impeccable birdseye the rim and underside.
