Kai Nielsen: Smooth Acorn (Jewel of Denmark) (B) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-137-0125
This bent Acorn from Kai Nielsen is a slightly larger piece for the Danish artisan, known for his excellent pocket pipes, though is still pleasantly compact at just over five inches long. The pert bowl rests on a sweeping heel at the fore of a demurely bent shank fitted with a hand-cut bent acrylic saddle stem, its light weight lending itself well to clenching. This pipe represents Nielsen's second highest Jewel of Denmark grade, stamped "B" to denote its position among the very finest examples of his work. Dressed in a rich auburn stain, the stummel boasts fine straight and flame grain around the bowl, with impeccable birdseye the rim and underside.-Gabriel Bass
