A robust rendition of the Apple shape, this piece from Kai Nielsen measures just a touch over five and a half inches in total length, lending itself well to on-the-go smoking. Despite the length of this piece, all the proportions here are spot-on and well-balanced, with the bowl, shank, and stem visually aligned within the composition. However, the elements making up this pipe are respectably full-bodied throughout, the piece offering plenty of presence in hand and reassuring thickness. A dark chestnut stain dresses the stummel and highlights a fetching display of flame grain about the bowl, its deep color complemented by the inky tones of the jet-black acrylic stem.
