Kai Nielsen: Partially Rusticated Bent Dublin (VVVV) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 002-137-0163

The son of Viggo Nielsen, founder of the Bari pipe factory, Kai Nielsen spent his teenage years working in his father's shop for pocket money. This early start saw him committing to full-time work there when he turned 21, the wealth of experience aiding him in becoming a prolific artisan in his own right. This bent Dublin features a compressed, oval-shaped, and flaring rim, the bowl's walls tapering down to a raised heel and long undercurve that flows organically through to the stem. A semi-oval shank turns up to meet the black acrylic half-saddle stem, accented with a band of white at the conjunction. Dressed in an earthy chestnut stain, the stummel boasts fine flame grain around the bowl, with a crown of birdseye at the rim and a rusticated area below the shank.
