Kai Nielsen: Sandblasted Bent Brandy (Jewel of Denmark) (D) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-137-0169
As the son of Viggo Nielsen, Kai Nielsen grew up around pipe making, and started working in his father's factory as a teenager. Throughout the years, Kai Nielsen has developed a distinctive aesthetic that's exemplified by this bent Brandy. Part of Nielsen's "Jewel of Denmark" line, which is reserved for the Danish artisan's finest work, this piece features a plump, forward-canted bowl that tapers from its broad base to its taut rim. Said bowl is positioned at the fore of a sweeping shank-and-stem arrangement that encourages a comfortable smoking posture and accentuates the overall form's active stance in profile. Dressed in a crisp, dark sandblast, the stummel offers a wealth of visual and tactile intrigue.
