Kai Nielsen is the son of Viggo Nielsen, the founder of the Bari pipe factory. As one might expect, Kai Nielsen got an early start in pipe making, working for his father as a teenager and eventually joining Bari full-time at the age of 21. This Tomato nicely represents Kai's distinctive shaping style, which tends to prioritize supple curves, flowing lines, and tidy dimensions. At less than five inches in total length, this piece boasts a lightweight build, and displays a curvaceous profile, one that sees a plump, well-rounded bowl set to a sinuously bent shank-and-stem arrangement. Comfortable in hand, this piece is dressed in an auburn smooth finish that highlights some impressive grain throughout the stummel.
