Kai Nielsen: Smooth Bent Dublin (Jewel of Denmark) (C) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 002-137-0196

A second-generation pipe maker, Kai Nielsen has spent most of his life in the craft, honing his skills and developing a distinctive style completely his own. This bent Dublin is a fetching showcase of his craftsmanship, offering the marriage of structure lines and gestural curves that mark a great deal of Nielsen's pipes. Forward-surging and muscular, the bowl here stands at the fore of a paneled shank and a half-saddle stem, the latter of which is demurely curved for a comfortable smoking posture. The shank's firm lines and geometric build lend some sharp definition to the shape's silhouette. Dressed in a smoky smooth finish, the stummel displays some fetching grain across the bowl and shank.
