Kai Nielsen: Smooth Bent Apple (Jewel of Denmark) (B) Tobacco Pipe

Son of Viggo Nielsen, Kai Nielsen has a lifetime of experience working in the pipe industry. From assisting his father in the Bari pipe factory to creating the Faaborg pipe with his brother, Kai has constantly learned and grown as a craftsman. The Jewel of Denmark grade is used to categorize some of the artisan's best work, with sub-grades ranging from A to D - A being the highest. This particular Jewel of Denmark bent Apple is denoted with the B grade, and it's classically Danish in design with a sweeping profile and supple curves. Relatively lightweight, this pipe is also a great option for travel and on-the-go smoking. Up front, the bowl is plump as its walls rise and taper slightly toward a flat rim that looks into a compact tobacco chamber, ideal for short and satisfying smoking sessions. A broad transition gives way to a rounded shank that begins the aft's bend to the button, eventually meeting a thin white accent band at the junction. The inky hues of the tapered vulcanite stem pair well with the ruby-stained stummel, displaying rich flame grain across the bowl's flanks and lovely patches of birdseye across the underside.
