Kai Nielsen: Smooth Bent Dublin (Jewel of Denmark) (B) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-137-0214
Son of Viggo Nielsen, Kai Nielsen has a lifetime of experience working in the pipe industry. From assisting his father in the Bari pipe factory to creating the Faaborg pipe with his brother, Kai has constantly learned and grown as a craftsman. The Jewel of Denmark grade is used to categorize some of the artisan's best work, with sub-grades ranging from A to D - A being the highest. This particular Jewel of Denmark bent Dublin is denoted with the B grade, combining muscular features with a compact profile. The bowl's curvaceous heel gives way to walls that flare toward twin beadlines just below the subtly domed rim. From a tightly-knit transition, a sturdy, rounded shank lifts to a vulcanite saddle stem, the pair connected by a thick metallic accent band at the junction. The inky mouthpiece is an ideal companion for the darkly-stained stummel, where stunning flame grain is seen throughout.
