Kai Nielsen: Smooth Bent Dublin (Jewel of Denmark) (B) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-137-0216
As the son of Viggo Nielsen, the founder of the Bari pipe factory, Kai Nielsen was predisposed to take up the craft. Kai began working at Bari when he was still a teenager, eventually graduating to a full-time employee when he turned 21. He's now an artisan with over 50 years of pipe-making experience, his distinctive style and honed skills evident in every pipe he fashions. This bent Dublin by Nielsen boasts a uniquely shaped bowl, one with an oval rim, a squat frame, and gradually flared walls that cant forward. This striking bowl is paired to a slender oval shank and a half-saddle stem, the latter of which promotes a comfortable smoking posture. Dressing this piece is a dark, smoky smooth finish that highlights healthy grain across the briar's surface.
