Lan Zhenjun: Smooth Bent Billiard Tobacco Pipe

While smooth lines and sturdy proportions are the rule for the Lan pipes I've seen, some are more extreme than others. In this bent Billiard's case I'd say it was one of the more extremely charming, something about this design just making me want to smile as I picked it up. This is, undeniably, a playful shape, lifting in its presentation of a rather Danish style of bowl (low of waistline, long of upward taper), yet very well anchored by a transition of buoyantly chubby proportions and line, which is then followed in turn by more playfulness in the flick of the stout shank and the thin saddle stem. Overall, I think someone is going to be very happy with this cheerfully plump briar.
