Lan Zhenjun: Smooth Apple Tobacco Pipe

There's more than a little Chonowitsch to this Lan Zhenjun Apple shape, specifically in the visual weight of the lower bowl and well-defined pinch at the transition. Interestingly enough, Lan has paired those Jess-like cues with a subtle forward cant to the bowl, an idiosyncrasy which lends the form a slight modernist disposition, especially here paired to a succinct saddle bit. Broad swaths of flame ride the flanks, all surrounding a fairly spacious chamber to boot. Needless to say, if you're looking for a brilliantly balanced Danish-style smoker by a seriously deft pipemaker, this fellow is a safe bet.
