L'Anatra: Sandblasted Bent Apple
One always runs a risk of alienating a certain element of the pipe-smoking population (ahemSykesahem) by saying this, but yes, this is a small pipe, and yes, it looks like it would be perfect for a lady. There's simply an indelibly feminine aspect to this piece's swan-like sense of elegance and proportion; the supple curve of a slender stem and transition, the lightly reaching straight stretch in between, the petite bowl possessing a decided fullness of curve. Often when one sees an attractive woman smoking a cigar or a hand-rolled at a bar, you suddenly find yourself unusually inclined to ask if you may buy her a drink. To be frank, were I to see a young woman smoking this pipe in much the same setting, I would find myself more than a little inclined ask for her hand in marriage, and were she already spoken for, what her feelings were concerning the lost and noble art of monomachy.
