Manduela: Smooth Long Shank Bulldog with Bone Tobacco Pipe

We've seen this style of low, streamlined take on the Bulldog shape from Manduela Riger-Kusk before, with its aesthetic foundation seemingly rooted in Danish neoclassical shaping, but lent an added sense of sleek, tight-knit geometry. The shank's hexagonal paneling, executed in such a low-profile way as to make the shank appear lenticular, divides cross-grain from birdseye with razor-sharp precision, leading the eye simultaneously to the broad, dome-rimmed bowl and succinct, powder-blue stem. It's finished in one of Manduela's stunning red-tinged walnut contrast stains, while the stem is adorned with a creamy bone accent, making for a touch of contrast. A beautiful piece indeed.
