This Cauldron design from Mark Tinsky has a lot going on with it, including its stummel material, which is morta presented in a smooth finish with its grain primarily horizontal across the bowl. The bowl is pinched through its waistline and expands above and below, while the shank is in a diamond configuration. The bowl is paneled in six sides, and the dark palette of the composition is dramatically contrasted by ivorite, which circles the tobacco chamber and follows the six-sided exterior of the rim while echoing the thin accent of white at the end of the shank.
