Mark Tinsky: Bengal Bent Apple (4) (One Star) Tobacco Pipe

Mark Tinsky has become an American institution, making pipes for decades at a cost that is attractive for all the artisinal features applied. Here we find an upright Apple of almost Oom-Paul form but with a more independent bowl, as the shank leaves the transition at more of an angle, here rising to meet a stylized saddle mouthpiece. Mark's "star" logo is dramatically placed against a dark accent material for great contrast, and the smooth bulbousness (bulbositiy? bulbism?) of the bowl provides an organic aesthetic translating to a particularly firm in-hand presence.
