American carver Mark Tinsky has chosen the bent Pot as the singular shape to epitomize the spirit of Christmas for 2021. His annual releases are rendered in different finishes and adorned with various handsome accents. The 2020 edition was a bent Dublin. The Montana resident has been commemorating the holiday with a new release every year since 1983.
Shape-wise, the bowl of this robust bent Pot boasts a broad chamber, and is primed to accommodate favored blends. The plump heel is angled a bit, leading to a slight lift, while the gently arcing shank-and-stem arrangement stretch out in back, providing a good visual balance. This piece is wearing a natural, polished stain, showcasing the myriad grain patterns of the briar, a striking arrangement that contrasts the black hues of the acrylic stem.
