This Apple comes from second-generation artisan Glenn Tinsky and possesses an Author-like appearance in profile, most notably when considering the lifted heel and forward-thrust of the heavy-set bowl. The shank-and-stem arrangement matches the muscular proportions of the bowl and stretches out back into a gestural S-curve, one which should ensure a comfortable smoking posture. The stummel wears the smoky Sunrise smooth finish, which here showcases fine strands of flame grain around either flank of the bowl.
