Mark Tinsky: Morta Bent Dublin with Ivorite (6) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 002-035-1042

Instead of traditional briar, this bent Dublin from Mark Tinsky is crafted out of morta, a semi-petrified bog oak that's prized for its heat-resistance and mesmerizing grain patterns. Shape-wise, this piece features a tall, flaring bowl that's set at the fore of a steeply curved shank-and-stem arrangement. The shank and stem's high-reaching S-curve encourages a comfortable smoking posture and adds a subtle gesture to the pipe's profile. A smooth finish dresses the stummel and brilliantly highlights the morta's unique grain. The rim and junction are accented with ivorite, and the material's pearly white color adds a touch of vibrancy to the overall form.
