Mark Tinsky: Black and Tan Bent Apple (5) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 002-035-1151

Mark Tinsky has quite the storied history in American pipe making, founding the American Smoking Pipe Co. in 1978 and maintaining a consistent output for the over four decades that have elapsed since then. Tinsky lives in Montana and spends his days fly fishing and making pipes, bringing his many years of experience in the craft to every shape he fashions. He boasts a rather diverse portfolio, offering a wide range of shapes in a variety of unique finishes, whether smooth, rusticated, sandblasted, or some mixture of those three. Tinsky is also well known for his accenting work, incorporating everything from hardwoods to metals into his compositions. This bent Apple is a fine example of Tinsky's shaping style, offering a plump, full-bodied bowl that stands at the fore of a tapering shank-and-stem arrangement. It's further commended by the contrast-rich Black and Tan finish, which highlights fine tendrils of flame grain around the bowl.
