Mark Tinsky: Pristine Bent Dublin (B) (One Star) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-035-1172
Mark Tinsky has always been an adventurous spirit; in fact, he first decided to open a pipe-carving business while bicycling across Europe with his friend Curt Rollar. Since that fateful day in 1978, the American carver has built a long and successful career of making beautiful pipes, often with his own unique adaptations of classic pipe chart shapes. This bent Dublin is a fluidly curved interpretation of the profile, comprising a generous S-curve that gradually expands through the shank and into the bowl. The transition is curved and wide enough to drape a digit, and the bowl itself is a generous, tall, flaring bit of briar that cants forward a touch in dynamic fashion. Dressed in the Pristine series' warm mahogany-hued stain, this pipe showcases a wealth of handsome grain and has been graded with a single star.
