Mastro Geppetto: Sabbiato Cauldron with Silver Tobacco Pipe

An uncommon shape, the Cauldron is nonetheless a design that's more prevalent in Italian pipe making. Mastro Geppetto has fashioned a fine example of the shape here, with the plump-bodied bowl displaying the form's pinched waist, then flaring to a lid-like rim, which in turn is separated from the lower bowl by a pronounced, demarcating ridgeline. It's paired to a straight stretch of rounded shank and saddle stem, with a bright band of silver contrasting the dark, sandblasted finish and lending a dress pipe aesthetic.
