This well-balanced Churchwarden from Mastro Geppetto combines an expressive Dublin bowl with the Churchwarden's extended stem, making this a comfortable pipe to accompany a good book. The bowl features a flared, broad rim that's domed as it rises out from a firm ridgeline. The bowl's walls taper sharply into the soft heel and abbreviated shank, giving the bowl a Horn-like sense of forward motion. The long stem curves gently, balancing the weight of the bowl so the pipe can be easily cradled in hand. Dressed in a crisp sandblast and inky stain, there's plenty of texture here for the fingers to appreciate, and no shortage of handsome grain.
