Mastro Geppetto: Liscia Rhodesian (2) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 002-819-1173

Giancarlo Guidi founded Ser Jacopo in 1982, building a reputation on crafting high-quality briars that are renowned for their robust proportions and playful shaping cues. The Italian atelier's style has since defined the Pesaro style of pipe making, each of their pipes imbued with a sense of character and reflecting the whimsical creativity that went into crafting them. Mastro Geppetto is Ser Jacopo's sub-brand of more accessibly priced pipes that still maintain a high-quality of workmanship. Crafted in the Ser Jacopo workshop, these pieces embody the playful Pesaro style of their pricier counterparts, with this Rhodesian being a more conservative example. A wide transition gives way to a tapering stretch of shank here that meets a demurely curved stem of vibrant yellow acrylic, offering a comfortable smoking posture while keeping the aft side here rather gracile. Up front, a rounded heel supports a flaring bowl, with this flare terminating at a single crisp beadline that additionally denotes a swift taper to the rim. Comfortable in hand, the stummel here is dressed in a warm, deep, chestnut-toned stain that reveals a wealth of handsome grain, the bowl itself wrapped in dense flame.
