Mastro Geppetto: Rusticato Natural Paneled Bent Dublin Churchwarden Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-819-1202
Giancarlo Guidi founded Ser Jacopo in 1982, building a reputation on crafting high-quality briars that are renowned for their robust proportions and playful shaping cues. The Italian atelier's style has since defined the Pesaro style of pipe making, each of their pipes imbued with a sense of character and reflecting the whimsical creativity that went into crafting them. Mastro Geppetto is Ser Jacopo's sub-brand of more accessibly priced pipes that still maintain a high-quality of workmanship. Crafted in the Ser Jacopo workshop, these pieces embody the playful Pesaro style of their pricier counterparts, with this paneled bent Dublin Churchwarden being an excellent example. This Churchwarden boasts a long, curving black stem married to a curled shank that supports a paneled bowl with a slight forward cant and gentle flare from out of the heel. The stummel is dressed in a rugged, craggy rustication that's been left unstained here, offering plenty of potential for future patination as it is smoked. This lengthy pipe is sure to make for an excellent reading companion or smoker for anyone searching for an elegant pipe of considerable length.
