Mastro Geppetto is produced by Ser Jacopo at the Pesaro stalwarts' workshop, offering the bold, expressive style of Giancarlo Guidi's marque at accessible prices. A pioneer of the Pesaro school, named after the location of his workshop, Guidi and his partners elevated the more whimsical aspects of Italian neoclassic designs to new heights, creating an immediately recognizable aesthetic that continues to inspire. This Cherrywood is a fine example of Geppetto's style, and a signature design for the Pesaro workshop, featuring a forward-urging bowl with cinched-in walls and lifted heel at the fore of a high-kicking round shank and willowy Churchwarden stem of black acrylic. Dressed in the Sabbiato sandblast, the black-stained stummel offers plenty of crisp texture for the fingers to explore.
