Mastro Geppetto is produced by Ser Jacopo at the Pesaro stalwarts' workshop, offering the bold, expressive style of Giancarlo Guidi's marque at accessible prices. A pioneer of the Pesaro school, named after the location of his workshop, Guidi and his partners elevated the more whimsical aspects of Italian neoclassic designs to new heights, creating an immediately recognizable aesthetic that continues to inspire. This Poker is a fine example of Geppetto's style, featuring a thick-walled bowl that rests on an angled heel, giving it a dramatic forward cant at the fore of a tapered round shank that gives way to a swirled acrylic saddle stem. Dressed in the Rusticato finish, the stummel features a deep ruby stain and rustication that offer a wealth of texture in a stylish presentation.
