Mastro Geppetto: Sabbiato Bent Egg Tobacco Pipe

A compact offering from the Ser Jacopo sub-brand, this bent Egg from Mastro Geppetto measures a little under five inches in length, though it retains a bold Italian character with its bowl-centric sense of proportion. A tall bowl stands at the fore with an upright posture, its supple walls curving as they rise from the rounded heel and taper gently toward the flat rim. Lifting out of the transition from the bowl is a comparatively lean shank that meets a smartly bent tapered stem of brindled, mocha-hued acrylic, the arrangement's poised posture encouraging comfortable smoking. Courtesy of Mastro Geppetto's Sabbiato sandblast, the stummel features a wealth of rippling growth rings beneath a smoky stain, of which the stem's palette offers a rich complement.
