Mastro Geppetto: Sabbiato Paneled Bent Billiard with Silver Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-819-1412
Known for pioneering the Pesaro style of pipe making, Giancarlo Guidi founded Ser Jacopo in 1982. Since then, the Italian marque has made a name for itself with its fantastical, imaginative interpretations of classic pipe conventions. Ser Jacopo's sub-brand Mastro Geppetto offers pipes at a more accessible price range without compromising on the marque's distinctive style or standards of quality. This bent Billiard from Mastro Geppetto features a Brandy-like bowl, its walls tapering from the broad, rounded base toward the rim, making for a figure with a comfortable presence in hand. The bowl is framed by eight facets, with crisp ridgelines emerging from the base to grant this piece a sturdy, architectural quality. Accented with a bright silver band, a rounded shank transitions from the bowl and joins to a tapered stem of swirling, mocha-hued acrylic, whose gentle downturn lends the composition a languid profile. Courtesy of Mastro Geppetto's Sabbiato finish, the stummel wears a dark, crisp sandblast, pairing with the bowl's paneling to create an stimulating textural experience in hand.
