Mastro Geppetto: Rusticato Brandy Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 002-819-1455

Giancarlo Guidi founded Ser Jacopo in 1982, building a reputation on crafting high-quality briars that are renowned for their robust proportions and playful shaping cues. The Italian atelier's style has since defined the Pesaro style of pipe making, each of their pipes imbued with a sense of character and reflecting the whimsical creativity that went into crafting them. Mastro Geppetto is Ser Jacopo's sub-brand of more accessibly priced pipes that still maintain a high quality of workmanship. Crafted in the Ser Jacopo workshop, these pieces embody the playful Pesaro style of their pricier counterparts, with this Brandy being a good example. The bowl here stands on a broad, low-set waistline whose expanded breadth is marked by a firm ridgeline, and this waist supports walls that taper gently toward the rim. Out back, a wide transition gives way to a subtly tapering shank that reaches out to meet a sleekly tapering stem of black acrylic, the slender combination placing further emphasis on the bowl. Dressed in a rugged rustication, this pipe is rich with texture, all stained a deep auburn tone.
