Mastro Geppetto: Liscia Bent Dublin Sitter (2) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 002-819-1469

Giancarlo Guidi founded Ser Jacopo in 1982, building a reputation on crafting high-quality briars that are renowned for their robust proportions and playful shaping cues. The Italian atelier's style has since defined the Pesaro style of pipe making, each of their pipes imbued with a sense of character and reflecting the whimsical creativity that went into crafting them. Mastro Geppetto is Ser Jacopo's sub-brand of more accessibly priced pipes that still maintain a high quality of workmanship. Crafted in the Ser Jacopo workshop, these pieces embody the playful Pesaro style of their pricier counterparts, with this bent Dublin Sitter being a good example. A broad base and flat heel supports the bowl here, creating an immediate visual center and offering a look reminiscent of the Cherrywood as the walls of the bowl take on a subdued flare to the flat, broad rim. A tight transition pairs the bowl to a high-kicking shank and smartly curving saddle stem of variegated green acrylic, the slimness of the stem and briefness of the shank placing further emphasis on the bowl. Dressed in a deep, chestnut-hued stain and glossy smooth finish, the stummel showcases handsome grain, with ample contrast offered by the stem's vibrant tones.
