Mastro Geppetto: Liscia Bent Egg (2) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 002-819-1472

Giancarlo Guidi founded Ser Jacopo in 1982, building a reputation on crafting high-quality briars that are renowned for their robust proportions and playful shaping cues. The Italian atelier's style has since defined the Pesaro style of pipe making, each of their pipes imbued with a sense of character and reflecting the whimsical creativity that went into crafting them. Mastro Geppetto is Ser Jacopo's sub-brand of more accessibly priced pipes that still maintain a high quality of workmanship. Crafted in the Ser Jacopo workshop, these pieces embody the playful Pesaro style of their pricier counterparts, with this bent Egg being a good example. This bent Egg from Mastro Geppetto places its emphasis on the pronounced undercurve of the silhouette for a striking visual presentation that prompts a comfortable smoking posture. The bowl features soft, flowing shaping that sees plump, supple walls supported by a broad-bellied heel and tight transition. The shank is traditionally proportioned in relation to the bowl and meets a pearly white acrylic stem, bent for easy clenching. The briar wears one of Geppetto's warm, rich stains, unveiling a handsome array of grain throughout, with windswept flame flowing through both flanks of the bowl: the stem offering a wealth of handsome contrast.
