Mastro Geppetto: Liscia Canadian (2) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 002-819-1479

Giancarlo Guidi founded Ser Jacopo in 1982, building a reputation on crafting high-quality briars that are renowned for their robust proportions and playful shaping cues. The Italian atelier's style has since defined the Pesaro style of pipe making, each of their pipes imbued with a sense of character and reflecting the whimsical creativity that went into crafting them. Mastro Geppetto is Ser Jacopo's sub-brand of more accessibly priced pipes that still maintain a high quality of workmanship. Crafted in the Ser Jacopo workshop, these pieces embody the playful Pesaro style of their pricier counterparts, with this Canadian being a good example. A handsome take on the timeless shape, this piece boasts a wide transition that gives way to a long, subtly tapering shank that reaches out to meet a black acrylic stem that continues the shank's taper as it diminishes to the button. Up front, the bowl stands atop a round, pronounced heel, its low-set waistline bolstering walls that taper comfortably to the rim in Brandy-like fashion: offering a pleasant feel in hand. Dressed in a warm, rich, glossy finish and a chestnut-hued stain, the stummel showcases handsome grain throughout.
