Mastro Geppetto: Liscia Paneled Bent Apple (3) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-819-1488
Since its founding in 1982, Ser Jacopo has become one of the most recognizable and iconic pipe brands in all of Italy. Under the watchful stewardship of founder Giancarlo Guidi, the workshop developed a style that has since come to define the Pesaro shaping aesthetic. Each Ser Jacopo pipe is imbued with a whimsical sense of character that reflects the brand's creativity and playful spirit. Ser Jacopo's sub-brand Mastro Geppetto offers the same whimsical shaping style and rich aesthetics as the main brand, but at a more accessible price point. This paneled bent Apple by Mastro Geppetto is a fairly straightforward take on the classic form, being modestly sized, fairly well-balanced, and quite sleek. Like any traditional Apple, the bowl here is plump and round, though its walls are framed with a number of smooth panels that lend it a Rhodesian-like appearance. The transition is wide and gives way to a tapering shank and stem combination with a slight curve at the bit, poising this pipe for comfortable smoking. Dressed in a warm, light stain, the stummel is contrasted nicely by the vibrant green tones of the stem.
