Mastro Geppetto: Liscia Billiard (2) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 002-819-1492

Giancarlo Guidi founded Ser Jacopo in 1982, building a reputation on crafting high-quality briars that are renowned for their robust proportions and playful shaping cues. The Italian atelier's style has since defined the Pesaro style of pipe making, each of their pipes imbued with a sense of character and reflecting the whimsical creativity that went into crafting them. Mastro Geppetto is Ser Jacopo's sub-brand of more accessibly priced pipes that still maintain a high quality of workmanship. Crafted in the Ser Jacopo workshop, these pieces embody the playful Pesaro style of their pricier counterparts, with this Billiard being a more classic example. Though rather timeless in execution, this piece yet maintains some extra body around the bowl, with thick walls that offer a touch of plumpness in hand and stand atop a rounded heel. A wide transition here gives way to a low-set, round shank that tapers toward a similarly tapering stem of vibrant, emerald acrylic, its slender bit placing further emphasis on the bowl. Dressed in a rich, dark stain, the stummel showcases handsome grain throughout, its tones nicely contrasted by the stem.
