Mastro Geppetto: Liscia Bent Dublin (2) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 002-819-1506

Giancarlo Guidi founded Ser Jacopo in 1982, building a reputation on crafting high-quality briars that are renowned for their robust proportions and playful shaping cues. The Italian atelier's style has since defined the Pesaro style of pipe making, each of their pipes imbued with a sense of character and reflecting the whimsical creativity that went into crafting them. Mastro Geppetto is Ser Jacopo's sub-brand of more accessibly priced pipes that still maintain a high quality of workmanship. Crafted in the Ser Jacopo workshop, these pieces embody the playful Pesaro style of their pricier counterparts. This bent Dublin is a stout, muscular piece, offering a substantial feel in hand and presenting with a bowl-forward build that draws the eye to the fore. The transition is wide and pairs the bowl to a subtly lifting shank that tapers softly as it reaches for a verdant saddle stem of swirling green acrylic. Up front, the bowl stands on a muscular heel and grows thick, squat walls that flare out as they rise to a flat rim, the breadth of these walls lending the bowl an even stouter appearance. Dressed in a deep, chestnut-toned stain, the stummel showcases dense seas of birdseye across both flanks of the bowl.
