Mastro Geppetto: Liscia Bent Dublin (2) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 002-819-1529

Giancarlo Guidi founded Ser Jacopo in 1982, building a reputation on crafting high-quality briars that are renowned for their robust proportions and playful shaping cues. The Italian atelier's style has since defined the Pesaro style of pipe making, each of their pipes imbued with a sense of character and reflecting the whimsical creativity that went into crafting them. Mastro Geppetto is Ser Jacopo's sub-brand of more accessibly priced pipes that still maintain a high quality of workmanship. Crafted in the Ser Jacopo workshop, these pieces embody the playful Pesaro style of their pricier counterparts. A rather compact pipe, this bent Dublin comes in at well under five and a half inches long and maintains a balanced weight. The transition is wide, with plenty of room to drape a digit, and it gives way to a curling shank met by a sleekly tapering stem of demurely curved, crackling yellow acrylic. A rounded heel supports the bowl as it grows thick walls and flares out expressively to a flat rim, nicely insulating the chamber and offering a comfortable feel in hand. This piece is finished in a deep, chestnut-hued stain and smooth finish, the tones strikingly contrasted by the vibrant hues of the stem.
