Mastro Geppetto: Liscia Bent Egg (0) Tobacco Pipe

A sub-brand of Ser Jacopo, Mastro Gepetto produces handmade pipes that showcase the same playful shaping as their parent brand, but at a more approachable price point. This bent Egg is one of the latest offerings from the Italian workshop, and it showcases their signature Pesaro style.

The bowl stands tall with a tilted rim, the classic Egg shape rendered in bold Italian proportions. Behind the bowl, flowing from the cheeked transition, is a sinuous shank-and-stem arrangement. The S-shaped curve of said arrangement allows for comfortable jaw hanging and promotes a relaxed smoking posture while holding the pipe. The forward-urging swell of the bowl also bolsters the piece's in-hand presence, filling the palm nicely. The stummel of this offering wears a smooth, glossy finish and a deep, rich stain that contrasts strikingly with the cream-colored stem.
