Micah Redmond: Smooth Long Shank Bent Egg Tobacco Pipe

Sleek is the word that comes to mind when looking at this bent Egg from Micah Redmond. Its forward-canted bowl helps to put less emphasis on the transition, allowing an easy flow from bowl to shank, further emphasized by the bowl's teardrop shape and its domed stem base. The center of attention here, however, is the warm, dark contrast stain, which puts tightly-packed birdseye on display across both flanks, separated by neatly-centered cross-grain. Vibrant, lively, and imbued with implied forward motion, it's a departure from the floral designs we've seen from Micah previously, but shows his ability to execute a more minimalist design, as well as to coax the best out of a block's grain.
